Any of you into FAST street cars?
Just curious that is sort of why I got into rc cars, I love modifying cars. I have been doing it since I was 16 and now I'm 22. My current car (00 Corvette) is the 15th car that I've owned. I am a big fan of street/strip drag cars my corvete runs mid 10's@130. Let's see what ya got!
Here's mine!

Here is my chevelle. It has a burnt valve right now. I know the scoop is dorky and the rear fenders are chopped up. I bought this thing in high school with no engine/tranny with the paint and body as-is. I spent all my money on going fast not caring what it looked like. I drive it without the hood on it 99% of the time because I think the scoop looks stupid. I have a good hood sitting in the shed...and new rear quarter panels as well if I ever get around to rebuilding it again.
Its your basic big block chevy backed by a nash 5 speed and a dana 60.
Last time on the strip (with my dad at the wheel because my driver's license was suspended) it was running low-10's.

sorry its just a link...but I'm not enough of a computer nerd to resize it so I don't get busted by the mods.

that is the 1/8th mile. It shows you running 68mph not 130 with a 10 second lapse. why don't you show some numbers in a video.

Ok smarty 68mph in the 1/8 are you kidding me? The video in the first page is a 1/8 mile track e.t./mph is 6.8@104, my wife was cutting the film short before the speed was posted. I have one video of a 10.7@129.9, this was before I changed to my current intake set up (Fast 90), gained 30rwhp after the intake swap!
Just like they say it ain't bragging if you can back it up! J/K

No problem man, yeah my family has always been into high performance cars so you could say we know a little. I think my car is semi impressive, but my brother has a Honda Civic with over 800 whp! Runs low 9's@160+ in the 1/4!

I switched over to real cars when i hit 16 and just now got back into RC. My grandpa and i run a blown 5.0 mustang together at the track, best time last season was a high 12 @ ~112 on drag radials, needs slicks. My baby is a 96 240sx with an sr20. Best ET is a 13.8 @ 103 when it was on its stock turbo, should be around mid to low 13s @ 106ish on street tires how it sits now. No 10 second cars for me yet, but its just a matter of time Im sure haha.

Man I haven't seen one of those since my buddy sold his '70 428SCJ. Quite a beast with the factory shaker hood and drag pack w/locker. Oh back to the good ole days, when these roamed the streets daily.

Doesnt matter how fast it is, its still a civic j/k I used to have a 2000 Civic SI and it was a fun car. Id actually like to trade my mazda 6 for a civic hybrid since I drive so much the extra mileage would be great.
But back to the purpose of this thread, not overly fast but not exactly slow.
2001 Mustang GT Convertible
- Vortech T-trim 8psi
- Power Pipe (not in pics)
- FRPP 4.10 Gears
- Bassani Exhaust
- 04 Cobra Anniversary Brakes
Everything else is stock, it put about 350hp at the rear wheels. Just fine for a weekend crusier, but it could stand to get an intercooler, smaller pulley, and a retune.
DD Mazda 6

I don't really have one, but I will soon. I've posted pics a couple times already too, so I don't want to annoy people (besides, it's all stock and pretty boring looking now). It's a 1970 Plymouth Duster with a 318 c.i. V8 and 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic, all dead stock right now. I just got a job though, and over the summer it's going to get a 4-bbl ThermoQuad carb on a factory iron intake, MSD/electronic ignition, cam upgrade, 360 exhaust manifolds, 2.5" dual exhaust with X-pipe, firmer power steering box, front sway bar, and then some other cosmetic and maintenance upgrades. In the far future I want to drop in a hot 360 (~375 hp) and a 4-speed manual (actually 3-speed plus overdrive) with a steeper rear-end and some nicer wheels, tires, brakes, and suspension. Not to mention a nice metallic pearl blue/purple paint job.

I sold my Vega so I now have plans for a twin turbo something, I haven't figured out what it is yet but I'm leaning toward and old school car like a chevelle, a big heavy Chevy.
hey Shoaf85, do you ever run at piedmont dragway?
